Whitchurch’s Pubs’ Festival is back after a break of several years
All 7 of the town’s pubs will be serving local beers, from Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Wiltshire. Forget food miles to save the planet – think beer miles!
Local food is always on the menu in most of the pubs but this weekend the Town’s butcher, John Dennett, is supplying his own sausages with a venison and (local) ale festival special.
There’s entertainment aplenty with live, disco and folk music to suit all tastes
There’s a competition to win a meal for 2 in one of the pubs taking part – see the back page for more information

The Harvest Home
Turn of the C19/20th building on the site of several earlier versions of the pub (the building is now on Basingstoke’s Local List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest).
From September onwards a roaring log fire greets visitors and there are daily food specials and a full programme of team sport activities.
